EU imported €11.2 billion worth of “green” energy products in 2020, according to Eurostat

06/12/2021 (Agence Europe) – In 2020, the European Union spent €11.2 billion on imports of “green” energy products, including €8 billion on solar panels, €2.9 billion on biodiesel, and €0.3 billion on wind turbines, Eurostat, the EU’s statistical office, announced on Thursday 2 December. This represents increases of 250%, 60%, and 330% respectively compared to 2015. At the same time, EU exports of “green” energy products to third countries amounted to €5.8 billion...
