Presidents of UfM Parliaments call for ambitious climate decisions

The Speakers of the Parliaments of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) stressed in a joint declaration on Saturday 4 December that it was imperative to take “ambitious, urgent and coordinated decision-making in the fight against global warming” so that the Mediterranean region can “avoid a dangerous future”.

The declaration, adopted at the end of the two-day meeting (see EUROPE B12845A15), calls for a coordinated effort by countries on both sides of the Mediterranean.
