18/10/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 18 October, the Council of the EU extended its restrictive measures against so-called ISIL (Daesh) and Al-Qaeda, as well as individuals, groups, undertakings and entities associated with them, for a further 12 months until 31 October 2022. Six individuals are subject to a travel ban to the EU and an asset freeze. In addition, EU persons and entities are forbidden from making funds and economic resources available to these individuals. These measures are complementary to the sanctions imposed by the UN Security Council against so-called ISIL and Al-Qaeda. (CG)
