British Government to give Paris money to monitor migrant departures

11/10/2021 (Agence Europe) – On 11 October, the British government announced that it would pay France “in the coming weeks” the money promised to fight migrant smuggling from the French coast, AFP reported. During a visit to northern France over the weekend, French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin asked the British government to honour a commitment to pay France €62.7 million in 2021-2022 to fund the increased surveillance of the French coast.
