Faced with soaring energy prices, European geothermal industry calls on EU to establish an internal market for heating and cooling

08/10/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC) sent a letter to the European Commission and the Council of the European Union on Wednesday 6 October calling for the creation of a European internal market for heating and cooling systems. “We call on the European institutions to achieve the internal energy market, today restricted to only electricity and gas markets, to prevent higher energy prices”, the organisation writes.
