EU Member States meet to discuss alternative fuels in ‘Fit for 55’ package

On the initiative of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU, European transport ministers will gather for an informal meeting in Brdo on Thursday, 23 September. The main topic of the meeting will be the ‘Fit for 55’ package that the European Commission presented this past 14 July and that is expected to lead to a 55% reduction in net greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the EU by 2030 (see EUROPE B12762A8).
