Commission wants problems raised by implementation of Northern Ireland Protocol to be solved “before the end of the year”

On Tuesday 21 September, the Vice-President of the European Commission, Maroš Šefčovič, welcomed the support received from the Ministers for European Affairs for his work with the United Kingdom, which has been aimed at resolving the difficulties related to the implementation of the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland. But he also warned London at the end of the General Affairs Council, that this “process is not eternal” and that all the problems on the table will have to be solved...
