On Thursday 2 September, MEPs from the left-wing political groups on the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties criticised Slovenian Interior Minister Aleš Hojs’ priorities as being too security-conscious, particularly with regard to Afghan nationals who may need to seek refuge in the EU.
