European Parliament approves new European Internal Security Fund

06/07/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 6 July, the European Parliament validated, by 558 votes in favour to 132 against and 4 abstentions, the report by Monika Hohlmeier (EPP, Germany) on the new European Internal Security Fund for the period 2021-2027. This funding, in the amount of EUR 1.931 billion over 7 years, should help to strengthen the fight against terrorism and radicalisation, serious and organised crime, and cybercrime.
