When asked what they considered to be the most serious global problem today, more than a quarter of the European citizens surveyed (29%) answered either climate change (18%), environmental deterioration (7%) or health problems caused by pollution (4%). This is shown by the results of a Eurobarometer survey published by the European Commission on Monday 5 July.
Of the 26,669 citizens surveyed, 93% also considered climate change to be a serious or very serious problem (78% among them).
