Extension of export licensing mechanism for Covid-19 vaccines enters into force

30/06/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 30 June, the European Commission published its implementing regulation extending the export licensing mechanism for Covid-19 vaccines until 30 September 2021. This comes into force on 1 July. The EU believes that exports are still likely to “threaten the implementation of advance purchase agreements between the EU and vaccine manufacturers”.
