24/06/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday, 24 June, the European Parliament recommended a series of measures to ensure sustainable fishing in the Black Sea. The report by Ivo Hristov (S&D, Bulgaria) on the challenges and opportunities for the fishing sector in the Black Sea was adopted in plenary with 598 votes in favour, 3 against, and 92 abstentions. The European Parliament emphasises the need to further strengthen and deepen cooperation among all the littoral Black Sea countries with the aim of efficiently managing fishery resources and rising to challenges.
