EU leaders to discuss Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland at G7

The presidents of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the European Council, Charles Michel, reiterated their concerns about the implementation of the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland annexed to the UK agreement on its withdrawal from the EU on Thursday 10 June, on the eve of the G7 summit.

They will discuss this with the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, who is hosting the summit. US President Joe Biden is also expected to discuss this issue with Mr Johnson.
