Member States want to strengthen protection of vulnerable adults in EU

EU Ministers for Justice are expected to adopt the EU Council’s Conclusions on the Protection of Vulnerable Adults across the European Union on Monday, 7 June (see EUROPE B12647A9). Few surprises are expected, as the text has already been the subject of an informal agreement following a silence procedure.

The draft text emphasises that further work should be carried out in order to strengthen the protection of vulnerable adults in both civil and criminal law matters.
