The European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, had a business meeting on Monday 10 May in Brussels to discuss the Pact on Migration and Asylum and in more general terms, to call for solidarity within the EU, particularly in respect of Italy, which in recent days has been confronted with new arrivals of migrants on its shores, including 1,400 in one weekend.
