Electricity and gas prices for European households fell slightly in 2020, according to Eurostat

Average electricity prices for households in the European Union fell from €21.7 per 100 kWh to €21.3/100 kWh between the second half of 2019 and the second half of 2020, data from Eurostat, the EU’s statistical office, indicates, published on Monday 26 April. For gas, average household prices also fell slightly to €7.0/100 kWh in the second half of 2020.

These decreases hide large disparities between Member States.
