Brussels, 25/03/2021 (Agence Europe) – EU leaders met, on Thursday 25 March, at their summit with an “exceptional guest”, according to the European Council President Charles Michel: US President Joe Biden. This is the first time, since 2009 and Barack Obama’s Prague Summit, that a US president has met with all his European counterparts. It was an opportunity for Mr Biden to give “his vision of future cooperation” and for Europeans to express “our very strong commitment to this fundamental transatlantic alliance”, Mr Michel summarised at the end of the videoconference. The fight against Covid-19—including vaccines and economic recovery, the fight against climate change, the multilateral order and foreign policy are among the topics of cooperation.
