19/03/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex), the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) and the European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCA) signed, on 18 March, a new working agreement enabling them to continue working together to support national authorities in matters of safety and security at sea, including search and rescue, border management, fisheries control, customs activities, law enforcement and environmental protection, the Commission said in a statement. The working agreement covers, among other things, cooperation on risk analysis and exchange of information on threats in the maritime field, as well as respect for fundamental rights, data protection requirements and access rights.
