First overview in European Parliament on proposed directive on transparency of remuneration

MEPs on the Women’s Rights and Gender Equality Committee (FEMM) held a first exchange of views on Monday 15 March on the proposal for a directive to introduce binding EU standards on pay transparency, with a view to ending gender pay inequalities (see EUROPE B12671A1).

The proposal was welcomed by most of the groups and generally hailed as a “good basis for work”.
