EU Council conclusions on Sustainable Chemicals Strategy underline urgent need for action

The Council of the EU adopted on Monday 15 March its conclusions on the Sustainable Chemicals Strategy, the first step towards the zero pollution and non-toxic environment ambition, as part of the European Green Deal (see EUROPE B12675A34, EUROPE B12674A19).

The EU Environment Ministers will be informed by the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU under ‘other’ items on Thursday 18 March, during their meeting by video conference.
