EU lifts sanctions over misuse of public funds

12/03/2021 (Agence Europe) – The Council of the EU decided on Friday 12 March to revoke the EU framework for sanctions against those identified as responsible for the misappropriation of Egyptian public funds and, to this effect, to lift the restrictive measures in force against the nine Egyptians. They are former President Muhammad Hosni el Sayed Mubarak (deceased); his wife, Suzanne Thabet; his sons, Alaa Mohammed Hosni el Sayed Mubarak and Gamal al Din Muhammad Hosni el Sayed...
