European Parliament S&D and Greens/EFA groups insist on obligation of cameras on board

08/03/2021 (Agence Europe) – As part of the recast of fisheries controls, the S&D and Greens/EFA groups in the European Parliament will put to the plenary vote, on Tuesday 9 March, an amendment providing for a minimum percentage of 12-metre fishing vessels (with a high risk of non-compliance with the landing obligation) to be equipped with closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems.
