Not. Ádám Tóth, new President of Notaries of Europe

08/01/2021 (Agence Europe)Hungarian notary Not. Ádám Tóth took the reins of the Council of the Notariats of the European Union (CNUE) on Friday 8 January for the year 2021, succeeding Greek notary Not. Georgios Rouskas (see EUROPE 12406/19). President of the Hungarian Chamber of Notaries since 2007, Not. Tóth intends to give priority to the digitalisation of Justice during his Presidency. An important deadline for the CNUE will be the publication, by the end of the year, of the European Commission’s proposal to make digital the default option in cross-border judicial cooperation (see EUROPE 12614/12). In 2021, the CNUE will also closely follow developments in the post-Covid-19 national recovery plans presented by Member States. In this respect, he called for consultation between the European and national institutions and the actors on the ground, in order to maintain the high level of reliability of national justice systems.
