Interinstitutional Agreement on Just Transition Fund

The European Parliament and the EU Council reached agreement in the early evening of Wednesday 9 December on the regulation establishing the Just Transition Fund. The latest discussions have focused on the Ecological Response Mechanism(see EUROPE B12609A17). The possibility of financing gas investments has been excluded, but preserved within the Regulation establishing the ERDF and the Cohesion Fund (see other news). EUROPE will continue to follow this story. (PH)
