25/11/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Monday, 30 November, the European Ministers of Education will discuss by videoconference the creation of the European Education Area by 2025. The aim of the debate is to exchange ideas on the strategic objectives of European cooperation to ensure that education and training continue to play a crucial role in building our European society and economy. Ministers will also be briefed on the progress of work on the Erasmus+ programme for the period 2021-2027 at a public session. The German EU Council Presidency will also brief the ministers on the EU Council Recommendation on Vocational Education and Training (VET), adopted on 24 November, as well as on the EU Council conclusions on digital literacy in European knowledge societies. Finally, the future Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU will present its strategic priorities in the field of education. (SPj)
