S&D Group in European Parliament has appointed its rapporteurs for Pact on Migration and Asylum

The S&D group got ‘up and running’ regarding the Pact on Migration and Asylum, an internal source said on Friday 30 October. 

The Spanish Juan Fernando López Aguilár will be in charge of the Regulation on the ‘Crisis and Force Majeure’ instrument, which organises the mandatory terms of solidarity in such cases.

The German, Birgit Sippel, will be responsible for the Regulation on preliminary checks, which imposes health, identity and security checks on anyone arriving in a member...
