In 2019, EU provided €23.2 billion in support of developing countries’ efforts, a figure that is slightly up

In 2019, the consolidated combined financial contributions of the EU and its Member States (including the UK) to help developing countries tackle climate change amounted to €23.2 billion, an increase of 6.9% compared to 2018 (€21.7 billion; see EUROPE B12366A8).

Moreover, excluding the United Kingdom, the cumulative total amounted to €21.9 billion, an increase of 7.4% compared to the total for the EU-27 in 2018.
