09/10/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced, on Friday 9 October, the proposal for €823 million in aid under the EU Solidarity Fund (EUSF) for Croatia and Poland. €683.7 million will go to Croatia to help with reconstruction following the earthquake that struck Zagreb in March 2020. More than €7 million will go to Poland following the floods in the Podkarpackie voivodeship in June this year. In addition, more than €132.7 million in the form of advances will go to Germany, Ireland, Greece, Spain, Croatia, Hungary and Portugal, following their request for aid under the new provisions introduced in response to the coronavirus crisis (see EUROPE 12446/2).
