Parliament supports strengthening CSDP missions and developing European Peace Facility

On the evening of Tuesday 15 September, the European Parliament gave its backing to strengthening the EU's CSDP missions in Africa.

At the same time as they adopted the ‘Report on EU-Africa Security Cooperation in the Sahel Region, West Africa and the Horn of Africa’ prepared by Javier Nart (Renew Europe, Spain) by 427 votes to 128, with 140 abstentions, MEPs called for the European Peace Facility to be adequately funded.
