Germany takes lead in making European shipping more environmentally friendly

German Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer, whose country currently holds the Presidency of the EU Council, brought together his European counterparts and various associations representing shipowners and shipbuilders on Tuesday 8 September.

While Mr Scheuer had initially announced that he wanted to discuss the situation of the cruise sector, which had been put in difficulty by the Covid-19 pandemic, it would appear that the discussions focused mainly on the measures envisaged to reduce CO2...
