Victor Negrescu elected third Vice-Chair of European Parliament Committee on Culture

On Monday 31 August MEPs elected Victor Negrescu (S&D, Romania) as the third Vice-Chair of the Committee on Culture and Education. Mr Negrescu will replace British MEP Julie Ward, who had to step down in January due to Brexit. 

A former Romanian Minister for European Affairs who served during his country's rotating Presidency of the EU Council, Victor Negrescu has been a Member of the European Parliament since 2004.
