European Commission is not closing door to revision of Directive on protection of workers from biological agents

The European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, Nicolas Schmit, did not seem, at the end of an informal meeting with the Ministers for Employment and Social Policy on Tuesday 9 June, to definitively rule out the possibility of revising Directive 2000/54/EC on the protection of workers from risks related to exposure to biological agents at work in order to adapt it to a pandemic situation.
