Commission asks Warsaw to clarify its commitment to comply with Court of Justice’s order on Disciplinary Chamber

The European Commission is not satisfied with the Polish authorities’ response regarding compliance with the Court of Justice’s order of 8 April requesting Warsaw to immediately suspend the deployment of its new disciplinary measures against judges (see EUROPE B12484A20).

On 5 June, Commissioner Didier Reynders sent a new letter to the Polish Minister of Justice to this effect, asking the country to indicate by 24 June how it intends to comply fully with the Court’s ruling,...
