Euro area inflation at 0.3% in April

20/05/2020 (Agence Europe) – Euro area annual average inflation was 0.3% in April 2020, down from 0.7% in March, according to data released by the Statistical Office of the EU (Eurostat) on Wednesday 20 May. The rate was 0.7% at EU level. The lowest rates were observed in Slovenia (-1.3%), Cyprus (-1.2%), Estonia and Greece (both -0.9%). The highest rates were recorded in the Czech Republic (3.3%), Poland (2.9%) and Hungary (2.5%). Inflation was 0.8% in Germany, 0.4% in France, 0.1% in...
