Luxembourg validates CETA economic and trade agreement with Canada

08/05/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 7 May, Luxembourg ratified CETA, the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement with Canada (see EUROPE B11826A14, B11726A1). The EU/Canada Strategic Partnership Agreement was approved immediately afterwards. “We look forward to working with Luxembourg to build on this model of open and inclusive trade for our collective economic recovery post Covid-19”, EU Trade Commissioner Phil Hogan rejoiced on 8 May on his Twitter account.
