European Parliament Environment Committee points out insufficient level of Just Transition Fund

Members of the European Parliament's Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) highlighted the shortfall in the Just Transition Fund (JTF) on Monday 4 May during a debate on a draft opinion on the establishment of this fund drawn up by Alexandr Vondra (ECR, Czech Republic).

With the European Commission planning to endow the fund with €7.5 billion (2018 prices) (see EUROPE B12403A2), ENVI committee members supported Mr Vondra's call for further new funds for the...
