24/04/2020 (Agence Europe) – According to a press release from the European Parliament’s ECR group issued on Friday 24 April, the institution’s legal service reaffirmed the conclusion of its legal opinion of 1st April that the use of delegated acts provided for in the Climate Law to set the EU’s climate trajectory after 2030 is incompatible with Article 290 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU (TFEU) (see EUROPE B12460A25, B12461A30).
