16/04/2020 (Agence Europe) – In response to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, COFACE, which represents the interests of families at European level, is recommending a series of eight actions to be taken to help European families, in a document published on Wednesday 15 April. In particular, the organisation is calling for the adoption of a far-reaching action plan for rapid implementation of the priorities of the European pillar of social rights by setting ambitious objectives for 2030 (see EUROPE 12428/1). The organisation is also calling for increased funding for support services for at-risk groups, support for the development of technologies to ensure high-quality and efficient digital care services and, more generally, a redirection of budget flows in the next Multiannual Financial Framework towards support for families to mitigate the impact of COVID-19.
