16/04/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA) and the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) jointly adopted a Code of Business Conduct in view of COVID-19 on Wednesday 15 April, which is supposed to accompany the recovery in the automotive sector from the health crisis. This code of conduct contains chapters on occupational health and safety, communication, contractual requirements and coordination of restarting operations once restrictions and confinements are lifted. Currently, 1.1 million employees are temporarily unemployed, a situation leading to significant loss of income, the two organisations explain in their press release. The need to restart production is therefore urgent, but under the best possible health safety conditions, they add. For more information: https://bit.ly/3akX8Gk (PH)
