Improving resource efficiency in Europe requires targets and monitoring, says EEA

Setting more robust targets for the EU's transition to the circular economy and more rigorous monitoring could help improve resource efficiency, according to a report published by the European Environment Agency (EEA) on Wednesday 1 April.

This report analyses policies and approaches to improve resource efficiency in 32 countries of the European Environment Information and Observation Network (EIONET), based on a survey carried out in 2019.
