13/03/2020 (Agence Europe) – The leaders of the G7 countries will meet on Monday 16 March, by videoconference, for an extraordinary summit to coordinate their action against the coronavirus on health, economic, financial and research aspects. Following the example of the extraordinary European summit at the beginning of the week (see EUROPE 12443/1), this videoconference is organised on the initiative of France while the annual presidency of the G7 is currently held by the United States. During this extraordinary meeting, “we will coordinate our efforts on vaccine and treatment and work on an economic and financial response”, said French President Emmanuel Macron via Twitter. (MB)
