According to a letter revealed on Friday 13 March by the newspaper Euractiv, Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, and Spain recently called on the European Commission to support a scenario based 100% on renewable energies by 2050.
While these countries welcome the Commission’s determination to move towards fully sustainable technologies, they would like to see the institution put more emphasis on a “100% renewable energy by 2050” scenario.
