European Commission launches consultation on electromagnetic compatibility of electrical equipment

24/01/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 23 January, the European Commission launched a public consultation, which will run until 20 February, on the EMC directive, which relates to electromagnetic compatibility (Directive 2014/30/EU). The aim of the directive is to limit electromagnetic interference between electrical appliances such as televisions, mobile phones, radios, washing machines and power lines. The aim of the evaluation is to assess if the directive is still fit for purpose....
