24/01/2020 (Agence Europe) – In response to an invitation from the President of Guyana, the European Union will deploy an Election Observation Mission for the parliamentary elections to be held in Guyana on 2 March. The mission, led by Urmas Paet (Renew Europe, Estonia), will consist of eight analysts who have been based in Georgetown since 24 January, 14 long-term observers who will be deployed throughout Guyana and 20 short-term observers for the elections.
