New passenger car registrations in the European Union increased by 1.2% in 2019, reaching a total of more than 15.3 million units, the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) announced on Thursday 16 January.
This is the sixth consecutive year of growth.
In particular, demand for passenger cars in the EU grew strongly in December, with an increase of 21.7%, the highest December total ever recorded.
