06/01/2020 (Agence Europe) – The Egyptian Foreign Ministry announced on Monday 6 January that Egypt will host a meeting of Ministers from four Mediterranean countries (France, Italy, Greece and Cyprus) on the latest developments in Libya on Wednesday 8 January. According to the Ministry, the heads of diplomacy will discuss options for “advancing the search for a comprehensive solution to the Libyan crisis and addressing any obstacles”. On the same day, in a statement, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy condemned the latest attacks in the country. “It is more urgent than ever to work towards a genuine political solution to the crisis in Libya”, he said, calling once again on all parties to engage in a UN-led political process.
