During a debate on Wednesday, 18 December about the European Summit on 12 and 13 December, Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, reiterated her desire for the EU and the United Kingdom to enjoy an “unprecedented partnership”, while highlighting the extremely “challenging” deadlines (for negotiating the future relationship) by which this partnership will have to be created, with a renewed risk of “no deal at the end of 2020” if the two parties do not...
