White smoke of agreement has not been spotted at EU Council on fiscal transparency by country

The strong pressure exerted in recent days by the European Parliament (see EUROPE B12356A10) and civil society to move the lines within the EU Council on the proposal for country-by-country fiscal transparency ('reporting') has not been enough. On Friday 25 October, the status quo held firm in the EU Council's Company Law Working Group.
