Entry into force of neighbouring right in France

23/10/2019 (Agence Europe) – In France, the disappointment is palpable for newspaper publishers, on the eve of the entry into force of a law on neighbouring rights (partially transposing the European directive on copyright). In an open forum, 700 co-signatories - journalists, press editors and media personalities - deplore Google's refusal to grant a neighbouring right to newspaper publishers, using the exemptions allowed for headlines and an overview of a few words(see EUROPE B12335A12)....
