European Parliament ready to negotiate with EU Council on taxonomy of sustainable finance

22/10/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 21 October, MEPs from the Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) and Environment (ENVI) committees supported the decision to open interinstitutional negotiations on the Regulation laying the foundations for the future taxonomy on sustainable finance, which will assess, sector by sector, the ecological sustainability of economic activities (see EUROPE B12026A4) by 95 votes to 7 with 9 abstentions.
